The Head of Mission Multinational Joint Task Force and Executive Secretary of Lake Chad Basin Commission, Ambassador Mamman Nuhu recently decorated troops of the MNJTF with MNJTF medals in N’Djamena.
Speaking during the medal award ceremony, the Head of Mission congratulated the medal recipients and applauded the MNJTF Sector Commanders and National Operations Commanders and staff, for their bravery and efforts put into the fight against Boko Haram terrorists.
Speaking In the same vein, the former Force Commander Major General Lucky Irabor said the medal award was in recognition of the personnel’s contribution in the fight against Boko Haram terrorism and stability of the Lake Chad Region.
Meanwhile, eight Mission Support Officers from the Republics of Benin and Niger who had completed their tour of duty at the Multinational Joint Task Force were also presented with farewell gifts. The former Force Commander commended the outgoing staff and wished them success in their future endeavours.
