Staff of the Multinational Joint Task Force recently joined Benin Contingent of the MNJTF Garrison to commemorate the 58th anniversary of independence of Benin Republic. The ceremony which took place at Benin Contingent Camp in N’djamena featured a mini medal award parade for deserving officers and soldiers of the contingent, as well as a friendly volley ball match between Mission Support Officers and Benin contingent.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force, Brigadier General Seydou Badje, said that the medal award was in appreciation of work well done by the contingent. He commended the competence, efficiency and discipline demonstrated in the discharge of their functions.
The Company Commander of the contingent Major DOSSOU Ezechiel in his welcome address thanked the leadership of the MNJTF for the recognition accorded the contingent and promised to uphold a high standard of service. He also lauded Beninois diplomatic authorities in Chad, religious authorities and everyone at the ceremony for commemorating the national day with Benin soldiers.
