The Force Commander (FC) Multinational Joint Taskforce (MNJTF), Major General Jide Jeleel Ogunlade made the remarks during a send off and MNJTF medal presentation in honour of the outgoing Commander sector 2 Bagasola (Chad), Brigadier General Mahamat Soulemane Mallou. The FC commended the display of excellent leadership by example and sterling quality of command as demonstrated by the outgoing Commander.
General Ogunlade extolled his recent operational exploits which have significantly contributed to the successes recorded in restoring peace and security in the region. He urged for the continuous effective joint operation among the sectors which can afford the forces greater advantage in counter insurgency operation.
In his remarks, the outgoing Commander, Brigadier Général Mahamat Soulemane Mallou expressed appreciation for the recognition of the selfless service he rendered to humanity. He expressed delight with the guidance and direction provided by the FC, which had greatly impacted on positive outcomes of the operations he conducted.
While imploring the outgoing Commander to be a good MNJTF Ambassador, the FC expressed confidence in his ability to credibly discharge his responsibility diligently. Highlights of the ceremony include decoration with MNJTF medal, presentation of certificates of participation and souvenir. Present at the ceremony were the Commander sector 3 Monguno (Nigeria) Brigadier Général GM Mutkut, the Chief of Staff HQ MNJTF, Colonel Major Moussa Mouhammadou and Chiefs of cells among other dignitaries.
