The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has released a documentary showcasing its operational successes in the fight against insurgency in the Lake Chad Region. The documentary, titled “Victory Against Insurgency in the Lake Chad Region,” highlights the progress made by the MNJTF in the past few years in the fight against terrorism.
The MNJTF, a military force comprising troops from Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria, was established in 2015 to combat the threat of Boko Haram and other terrorist groups operating in the region. Since its formation, the MNJTF has made significant progress in neutralizing the terrorist threat, and this documentary, therefore, serves as a testament to the joint force’s successes.
The documentary features interviews with the Head of Mission, the Force Commander, Former Force Commander, and MNJTF sector commanders as well as footage of successful military operations and the impact of the MNJTF’s efforts on the local communities.
“We are proud to release this documentary, which showcases the hard work and dedication of the MNJTF troops in the fight against terrorism,” said Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim, the outgoing MNJTF Force Commander. “We have made significant progress in neutralizing the threat of Boko Haram and other terrorist groups, but the fight is not over. We urge the general public to continue supporting the MNJTF in the fight against terrorism.”
The documentary Is part of the MNJTF’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness about its mission and to solicit support from the public. The joint force remains committed to its goal of restoring peace and stability to the Lake Chad region and eliminating the terrorist threat.
