The Deputy Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Brigadier General Seydou Badje, has promised the judicious use of the tactical vehicles donated by the MNJTF strategic partners, aimed at ameliorating the operational capacity of the Force.
He made this statement while symbolically receiving the keys of the vehicles on behalf of the Force during the handing over ceremony organized by the African Union at the Benin Contingent Camp N’Djamena Chad.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Special Representative of the African Union Commission Chairperson, Her Excellency Mrs Zaina Nyiramatama and the Executive Secretary of the Lake Chad Basin Commission and Head of the Mission MNJTF His Excellency Maman Nuhu both thanked the European Union represented by Senior Defense Expert Mr. Thierry Marotte for the very important donation, which is estimated at the cost of about 50 million Euros.
The European Union like every MNJTF strategic partner, have always been active in assisting the Multinational Joint Task Force in the fight against terrorism and insurgency in the Lake Chad Basin.
