MNJTF RADIO OPERATORS RECEIVE TRAINING FROM STRATEGIC PARTNERS

[fusion_dropcap boxed=”no” boxed_radius=”” class=”” id=”” color=””]R[/fusion_dropcap]adio operators from all four Sectors of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), from the headquarters MNJTF and the Benin contingent have recently received training on latest acquired contemporary signal equipment by MNJTF strategic partners via the African Union Mission Support Team.

The two weeks training was aimed at improving on the operational capacities of the MNJTF radio operators to permit them meet up with contemporary challenges in the domain of signals in particular and to acquaint themselves with the equipment newly acquired by the Multinational Joint Task Force. The training also focused on operating and maintaining tactical and strategic transmission and switching equipment, HF voice programming and data transmissions, Mobile radio installations on vehicles, amongst others.

The training ended with the attribution of end of course attestations handed over to the trainees during a ceremony presided over by the Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force, Major General Lucky Irabor.

It is worth mentioning that for a modern army to function, communications are vital. As Communication Systems operators these soldiers will be called upon in the future to handle sophisticated communications equipment and technology to keep the Army’s command and control systems up running.
