A Training Assessment Conference was held at the HQ MNJTF on Wednesday 21 September 2022. The aim of the conference was to carry out a holistic review of the effectiveness and usefulness of all the training courses coordinated by the MNJTF and its strategic partners for troops of the various MNJTF Sectors and its impact on the conduct of operations. In attendance were the FC, DFC, COS and Chief of Cells as well as representative of CCL, COGINTA and Sectors 1, 2, 3 and 4.

  1. Each of the representatives from various MNJTF Sector HQs took turns in making presentations on the impact of the training on troops of their respective sectors while also highlighting some challenges and suggesting possible ways to address them. In their response to the presentations, the representatives of CCL and COGINTA expressed delight on the usefulness of the training and enjoined all the sectors to put to use, the skills they had learnt during the trainings. They also made assurances that the concerns expressed during the presentations would be looked into with a view to improving delivery of future training courses.
  2. In his remarks, the Force Commander MNJTF Maj Gen Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim reiterated the commitment of the MNJTF in training her personnel towards improved human capacity, which he said would translate to positive outcomes in the field.
  1. He further stated that the feedback received indicated that the training was useful and would therefore be sustained as appropriate. He therefore commended the strategic partners and urged them to continue to provide the needed training accordingly.
  2. The Conference was concluded with the presentation of souvenirs by the FC to the representatives for the Sectors, after which they were treated to lunch before departure back to their various sectors. The event was hitch-free. Pictures attached.
