The ceremony which was held at the Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri was also aimed at commending the Sector and troops for their relentless efforts and gallantry in the fight against the BHTs in the LCB region. The FC MNJTF was received on arrival at HQ TC OPHK by the Theatre Commander (TC) Maj Gen IS Ali before proceeding to the venue for the event.

In his Opening Remarks, Commander Sector 3 MNJTF Maj Gen AE Abubakar thanked the FC MNJTF for making the presentation of token compensation to beneficiaries a reality. The FC MNJTF paid glowing tributes to troops who have paid the supreme sacrifices in the quest for peace within and around the LCB region during the mentioned operations. He stated that the compensation was not aimed to pay for the lives lost but rather a show of gratitude and appreciation.
