The Force Commander (FC) of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) Maj Gen Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim on 20 July 2022 at the Army War College Abuja Nigeria, delivered a lecture to student participants of Higher Military Strategy and Management Course 6/2022. The title of the lecture was “Command and Leadership of the MNJTF: My Experience”. He gave an overview of the MNJTF and its Operating Environment, Command Philosophy, His leadership, Command, and Experiences, Contending issues of Command and Leadership in the MNJTF, and finally, Lessons learned. The FC  informed the participants that they were the next generation of senior military leaders and it was imperative for them to grasp the principles of leadership and imbibe them for the betterment of the service and their various countries. He charged them to proffer workable solutions to the problems of insecurity bedeviling the Lake Chad basin region. He talked about the challenges of working in a Multi-National environment with different people, tactics, technics, and procedures who must work together to achieve their mission. He also proffered possible solutions to them. 

In attendance were the Commandant of the College, Maj Gen BA Alabi, his deputy, Brig Gen S Alkali, and other directing staff (DS) of the College. The Higher Military Strategy and Management Course 6/2022 consist of officers from Nigeria, Cameroon, Liberia, Rwanda, and Congo Brazzaville. Other paramilitary services in Nigeria also have  participants in the college which include Federal Road Safety Corps among others. The Deputy Commandant in his remarks thanked the FC for the brilliant lecture and believed that the participants and members of the DS had gained immensely and that it would truly shape their future Commands and other assignments.

Thereafter a plaque was presented to the Guest Lecturer. The lecture was hitch-free and the FC has returned to his HQ in N’djamena, Chad.
