As part of Sector 3 OPHDIN KAI / Multinational Joint Task Force Civil Military Cooperation activities in it Area of Responsibility, the Commander Sector 3 Brig Gen GM Mutkut organized a Community Relation meeting with District Heads, Community and Religion leaders, Farmers, Herdsmen in Monguno and some Executive Members of Monguno Local Government Area and National Union of Road Transport Workers at the Local Government Conference Hall on Wednesday 25 August 21.
While addressing the meeting, Brig Gen GM Mutkut urged them to always obey some security measures in place in order to assist the troops on war against the Boko Haram Terrorists. He also enjoined the Community leaders to avail the Sector useful information on any security threat within their environment and promised that such information and its source will be treated in confidential.
On the issue of farmers and herdsmen clashes, Brig Gen GM Mutkut pleaded with both farmers and herdsmen to work in harmony and follow the rules and regulations put in place by the State Government.
In his response, the House Leader of Mougonu Local Government who represented the Local Government Chairman Hon Ramat Zakariya, thanked the Commander for all his efforts in ensuring peaceful atmosphere in the Community and promised that both the Leadership of the Local Government and the Community will continue to sensitize the people on need for more synergies between the community and the Sector.
