MNJTF ORGANISES INDUCTION PROGRAMME FOR NEW STAFF

The newly appointed staff members of the Multinational Joint Task (MNJTF) recently received three days induction training at Headquarters MNJTF in N’Djamena, Chad. The objective of the induction was to get the personnel acquainted with the Multinational Joint Task Force, its mandate, mission, organizational structure and Area of Operation. Furthermore, the training was meant to keep the newly appointed personnel abreast with the Rules of Engagement of the MNJTF, Code of Conduct on the one hand and the customs and traditions of the host country, on the other.

Declaring the programme open, the Deputy Force Commander, Brigadier General Seydou Badje, urged the participants to take the induction training seriously and not to neglect any aspect, as the training would go a long way to broaden their knowledge of MNJTF and familiarize them with the mission environment.

The African Union Mission Support Team to the MNJTF made a presentation on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. Other training modules of the induction programme included the history and origin of Boko Haram and their modus operandi, medical briefing, human resource management and logistics, among others.
