The Force Commander (FC) Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Lucky Irabor, has donated food items to the Shalom Orphanage home in Chagoua N’Djamena, Chad today Friday 23 March 2018.

While making the donation, the FC on behalf of the MNJTF, lauded the Founder of the Orphanage home Mrs Koumatolal Marcelina and Staff for efforts made in taking care of the orphans. The FC added that apart from fighting against Bokom Haram insurgency in the Lake Chad Basin, the Multinational Joint Task Force contributes to the protection and wellbeing of the vulnerable and less privileged in countries of the Lake Chad Basin Commission.

Speaking earlier, Mrs Koumatolal Marcelina stated that the orphanage is engaged in the education, training and healthcare of the children. These she said are very challenging tasks, thus the call for assistance from sympathizers and partners like the MNJTF. Shalom orphanage home harbours 22 children from Nigeria, Niger, Chad and the Central African Republic and has been in existence since 2015 under Chadian government license.
