Speaking during the ceremony, the Force Commander (FC), Major General Lucky Irabor commended the outgoing Deputy Force Commander (DFC) Brigadier General Moussa Mahamat Djoui for his remarkable contributions in the fight against the Boko Haram terrorist group. He described the former DFC as a competent, innovative and dynamic Senior Officer, whose wealth of experience, collaboration with the entire MNJTF staff during his 15 months tour of duty greatly enhanced the operations of MNJTF in the fight against terrorism.

In response, the outgoing DFC thanked General Irabor for his cooperation, support and continuous encouragement throughout his tenure as Deputy Force Commander. He urged the Force Commander to show the same support to the incoming DFC. Similarly, the in-coming DFC Brigadier General Seydou Badje who until his recent appointment was the Chief of Staff thanked the outgoing DFC for his services to the MNJTF and wished him success in his future endeavours.

The new DFC Brigadier General Seydou Badje has attended several military and civil courses. He is a graduate of the University of Roma 3, where he obtained Masters Degree in Strategy and International Studies. He is also a graduate of War and Italian National Defence Colleges. General Badje is a highly decorated senior Infantry Officer who has also held several staff and command appointments. Meanwhile, a new Chief of Staff Navy Captain Tchepda Djia Rolland has also assumed duties in the Headquarters MNJTF. He is a graduate of the French Naval Academy and the University of Yaounde II, SOA. Until his new appointment, he was Deputy Commander of the Cameroon Joint Arms Services Military Academy.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
